Coutts Information Services, an affiliate of Ingram Industries, seeks an Area Sales Manager for the Northeast region of the US. Successful candidates must have 3-5 years selling products or services to academic libraries and be able to document a track-record of positive sales results of goods or services to the library community. Area Managers must possess excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to present online demonstrations to groups and individuals, be able to manage the demands of planning regular trips within the region, follow-up with prospects and customers, and meet internal reporting requirements.
Coutts Library Services is an international provider of printed and electronic books to academic, public, and special libraries with offices in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. We offer firm order services, standing orders, approval plans, and access to tens of thousands of e-books via the company’s MyiLibrary platform.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years successful sales experience within a public or academic library setting
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of work experience with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point
- Travel up to 50% is required
