Due to expansion within our Sales department, we are now recruiting for: Channel Development - International
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide service and sales support to Ingram Content Group activities including library supply (print/digital; academic/public) and publisher relations
- Represent the library group with respect to promotion, sales and service of its product line to channel partners within the international markets focussing on library products to re-sellers and distributors
- Develop overseas selling relationships through channel partners
- Identify and maintain a channel partner pipeline
- Manage channel partners working with Ingram regional managers
- Work with Ingram Legal in concluding partner agreements
- Manage the quotation process for major deals/consortia by
- co-ordinating the quotation requirements of the customer by liaising with the channel partner,
- working with the Ingram publisher relations team and with publishers direct on agreeing price parameters,
- working with customer service on quotation production and the bids team on completing the quotation/bid process
- Coordinate internal teams across the group on channel partner activities
- Establish relationships with the end customer
- Work with Ingram regional managers to set goals and targets for channel partners
- Under general supervision, generate revenue and/or profit margin through channel partners
- Review partner contracts against sales performance and advise on future course of action accordingly
- Travel to assigned areas and trade shows and events as required
- Ensure high post-sales satisfaction facilitating positive long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with customers
- Keep informed on new products and/or services and other general information of interest to customers
- Report on industry trends, market requirements, customer needs and competitor developments
- Ensure that all relevant company and departmental Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required
Technical Requirements
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn to work on databases
- Knowledge of CRM systems
Education & Experience
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent
- Good industry knowledge of products, services and markets
- Proven track record in sales (inside or external)
- Knowledge of international book and information markets preferred
- Managing commercial projects
