Product Development - International


Due to expansion within our Sales department, we are now recruiting for: Product Development - International

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support bringing to market library products and enhancements that meet the requirements of the International market
  • Working with the respective product managers to provide effective coordination of the definition and prioritisation of requirements, specifically for the International markets (this relates to all markets outside North America)
  • Have a basic understanding of the various Ingram Coutts applications in relation to the development of Ingram library products
  • Work with the Marketing Team and others to coordinate the development and implementation of products to target markets
  • Participate in advisory groups
  • Work with product managers on the production of on-line/off-line training materials that are market specific
  • Attend customer visits, as required, across the International market (this is an office based role that will require occasional client and event visits)
  • Work with sales and marketing to prepare and attend PR events and road shows
  • Provide WebEx product introduction and training in the International markets
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and customer feedback
  • Provide internal briefings to sales, customer services and product managers
  • Work as part of the sales team on product development
  • Work with area and regional managers to identify prospects to implement new services and training that tie in clients through the use of Ingram products
  • Maintain a product pipeline against specific customer requests
  • Work with marketing to conduct regular reviews of competitor products to identify their strengths and weaknesses against the Ingram products by market
  • Provide a record of personal work activity
  • Agree priorities with product managers and management
  • Handle customer issues related to product development liaising with sales and customer services accordingly
  • Attend regular meetings with respective product managers
  • Attend sales and regional team meetings
  • Ensure that all relevant company and departmental Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required

Technical Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use multiple database
  • Knowledge of CRM systems

Education & Experience

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Good industry knowledge of products, services and markets
  • Proven track record in sales / training (inside or external)
  • Knowledge of international book and information markets preferred
  • Managing commercial projects
