| Coutts this week announced the appointment of Marc Gluckman to the new post of Vice President of Sales and Marketing , North America.

Marc will oversee the US and Canadian sales teams and manage the eContent and new business divisions in North America. He will be coordinating the company's sales and marketing efforts alongside Andy Alferovs, Vice President of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and Stephen Pugh, Vice President of Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining Coutts, Marc served as Director of Educational Sales for Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), a unit of Wolters Kluwer Health. Earlier in his career in the book publishing industry, he held various positions with Mosby Publishing, now part of Elsevier, and with Times Mirror International Publishers.
Coutts has made a number of sales appointments in the US. Dana Walker has been appointed Area Manager for US Northeast . Dana comes to Coutts with over 20 years' experience in academic libraries. Most recently she was the Head of Serials and Electronic Resources at the University of Georgia Libraries and previously held the position of Head of Serials Records at Harvard College Library. Dana spent several years in Sales with Innovative Interfaces and in Standing Orders and MARC Cataloging Services at YBP. She is an active member of ALA serving as current chair of the ALCTS CSA/Ulrich's Serials Librarianship Award and as a member of the ALCTS Program Committee. Dana also works with the ER&L Conference planning committee and has been an active member of NASIG for many years.
David Ziembiec takes up his role this month as Area Manager for US Central reporting to Bob Schatz, Director of US Sales. David is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a B.A. Degree in Political Science. David has been working in the Sales and Account Management area for 15 years. Most recently he has been employed with Tutor.com as the Director of Sales for the Midwest/Mountain Area.
Coutts continues to build its sales infrastructure to support the growth of eBooks in North American academic libraries. Tim Turner has been appointed Business Development Manager, eContent, reporting to Steve Forrest, Director of eContent, to promote and expand the Coutts eContent and platform sales efforts in the U.S. Tim joins Coutts with over 20 years of experience in the library industry. Prior to joining Coutts, he spent the last 7 years with The Gale Group as the Regional Account Manager for the Southeast US selling reference content in print, database and eBook formats to academic and public libraries. Earlier in his career, he promoted the InfoTrac serials database to K-12 libraries with Information Access and worked in serials services for academic and medical libraries for The Faxon Company |
