Steve Forrest appointed Director eContent Sales
May 16th, 2007

News Release

As Coutts continues to invest in helping libraries discover, select and manage eBooks, the timely appointment of Steve Forrest to develop eContent sales in North America further underlines Coutts’ commitment to customers. The appointment runs in parallel with wider sales team restructuring in the UK and Europe to increase focus on eContent.

Steve has over 17 years’ experience in the North American Publishing Industry with Prentice Hall, Thompson, Macmillan and Pearson Education, spending the last 8 years focused on the emerging digital content market. As Business Development Manager for Pearson USA he participated in the launch of Safari Books, worked with the then newly launched Books 24x7 and eBooks.com. In the past four years he has led the drive to deliver MyiLibrary and its many benefits to the academic market in North America.

Steve plans to build a sales and support team as e-sales continue to advance and the nature of publishing and the supply chain changes.

Scott Gibbens was recently appointed New Business Development Manager for eProducts in the UK. Scott led the creation of the NHS core electronic content and will continue to have responsibility for eContent collection development in the health sector.

Coutts has made a number of key appointments recently to strengthen its management and customer support teams, including more selectors and catalogers, as well as growing its operational infrastructure to ensure continued quality of service.
