Coutts
is committed to the electronic exchange of information. We work proactively
with library system suppliers to encourage participation in creating
a seamless transfer of information from customers to Coutts. Currently
we accept and transmit information in various EDI protocols, including
EDIFACT, X12, XML, Tradcoms and BISAC. Using EDI either via modem, FTP
or email attachment, Coutts can receive orders, send reports, invoices
and bibliographic records.

| Benefits of EDI Transactions - Reduce library staff time and free up funds, as orders need not be rekeyed, or printed and mailed to Coutts. Orders are transmitted directly from library system suppliers to Coutts and invoices are sent directly from Coutts to customer. - Increased accuracy of orders and invoices as re-keying errors are avoided. - Speeds up supply times as there is minimal delay in delivery to our system. In addition, Coutts transmits orders daily to publishers. |
