Key Features & Benefits STAT!Ref - is available via the Internet, corporate intranet and on CD-ROM for single users or network applications. Quick searches - The software enables users to perform quick, full text searches. Results are displayed in a format resembling a book. Users can look up anything they could find in a large, science library including detailed tables and graphics. Save time - STAT!Ref is a time saver, providing clinically important information in full text format, in the minimum amount of time. The product easily and quickly finds answers pertaining to diagnosis, treatments, drug interactions and uses and patient referrals. Having STAT!Ref provides a knowledge-based information system that is current, authoritative and available to everyone who needs it. Advance usage reports - Reports may be configured by clients and scheduled to run at specified intervals: daily, weekly or monthly. The results are saved on our server for later retrieval and may also be emailed to the person who wants the report. Sophisticated cascading search capabilities - A new search feature has been added to STAT!Ref Online. We call this new feature Cascading Search. It is intended to find the best possible match for a search phrase with a minimum of user activity. Cascade searches will run at decreasing proximity settings until a match is found. Searches will try first to find a match with ordered adjacency, then adjacency, near/5, near/10, near25, near/50, and, or until a match is found. (A match is one or more matching documents). Improved help system - The help system is now fully searchable. Additionally, help icons have been added to many items in the STAT!Ref Online pages. Clicking an icon will automatically search the help system for information on the item. We call this "context sensitive help". Clicking a help icon will take you to help topics related to the page and item that help is launched from. Immediate loading of documents - Large documents are retrieved and sent in sections rather than waiting to send the entire document at once, allowing for citations to be delivered very quickly when retrieving documents to read. Access by multiple authentications or means - A new user authentication option allows either IP address or username to be used to authenticate a user for the single hosted institution. This allows users at your facility to connect automatically via their IP address or offsite with a username and password. Improved Dictionary Interface and Spell Checker - The Stedman's Dictionary table of contents is now fully navigable and keywords are searchable as always. Improved spell checking help - If the user enters a term that is not found in any of their available titles, STAT!Ref Online will now suggest the most probable intended words, from the words indexed in their available titles. The previous version simply showed an alphabetical list of indexed words closest in alphabetical spelling to the word entered. Unlimited title availability - STAT!Ref has no limit to the number of titles that you may subscribe to. We currently offer more than 35 texts to choose from and will be adding new titles on a regular basis.
